Hobart wakes to low-altitude snow as 'vigorous cold front' hits Tasmania

 Tasmania has been transformed into a winter wonderland.

Snow fell to 400 metres in southern Tasmania on Monday morning, and to 600 metres in the north of the state.

Collinsvale, north-west of Hobart, and kunanyi/Mt Wellington were both blanketed by snow, while Tod's Corner in the Central Highlands received 15 centimetres of snow.
