What makes some Tasmanian beaches feel colder than others?

 Tasmania is known for its sparkling white beaches and clear turquoise waters that take your breath away, in more ways than one.

Some beaches around the island feel colder to swim at than others, and locals have their own theories as to why.

Stuart Corney, an oceanographer from the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, says there are many factors that influence water temperature, and why a beach around the corner feels colder than its neighbour.
