Drunk man on Jetstar flight to Hobart who vaped and grabbed fellow passenger fined $4,000

 A Queensland man who was drunk and vaping on board a Jetstar flight to Hobart has avoided a conviction for offensive and disorderly conduct on a plane and abusing and threatening police.

Jai Brodie Spiteri pleaded guilty to a number of offences relating to his behaviour on a Jetstar flight from Coolangatta to Hobart in May.

Defence lawyer Dinesh Loganathan told the Hobart Magistrates Court the 27-year-old was taking a trip to Tasmania as "an opportunity to unwind and spend some time with his partner".
